Supply Chain Leader with experience in the Electronics category, we
have an exciting opportunity for you.What you will be
doing:Management of Electronics global commodity and team ensuring
maximum supplier performance and global leverage to positively
impact financial performance of all Woodward business groups. Key
focus is developing and managing the commodity to achieve
performance and financial goals and objectives as outlined in long
range plans, and ensure supply chain philosophy is up to date based
on the mega trends in the industry and marketplace; is aligned and
influencing corporate and business segment objectives. The role is
accountable for all aspects of supplier relationship management,
including expertise in commercial and contractual management, high
level negotiations, and development of the assigned commodity. The
role is also responsible for all aspects of supplier development
and project management in the commodity.Essential
Functions:Provides required leadership, direction, coaching,
mentoring, and performance management to the members of the Global
Commodity TeamProvides leadership for establishing, communicating,
and achieving alignment of commodity strategies with Business
-Group goals and objectives while maintaining focus on corporate
level goals and -major technology trends in the industry -Provides
direction to all Commodity Supplier Managers and other commodity
resources in developing long range plans, setting priorities, and
execution of activities to achieve desired resultsLeads and ensures
alignment and conformance to Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, and
Company policies, procedures, and practices - and coordinates with
other commodities.Understands and uses advanced market indicators
(forecast of indices, labor, geopolitical, emerging markets,
technologies, etc.) and ensures integration into
strategiesDemonstrated ability to develop innovative supplier
strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply
baseDirects the development of financial impact (productivity,
etc.) to business segments for integration of annual profit
planning, on-going annualized forecast, and LRPAccountable for
execution of plans to fulfill financial commitments to the business
groupsAccountable for developing and managing key supplier
relationships to realize mutually benefician win-win outcomeOther
Functions:Demonstrated leadership and understanding of project
management skills and toolsDemonstrated experiences in Supplier
Development program development and execution of programs in a
commodity settingDemonstrated experience in supplier auditing,
development, and continuous improvement activitiesUnderstanding and
experience in developing strategic relationships with suppliers
(risk sharing, organizational alignment, etc.)Able to quickly
analyze data to determine where issues exist, and provide direction
and oversight to resolve those issues - critical and quick
thinkingGuide and influence development and execution of standard
and non-standard agreementsDemonstrated ability to apply
appropriate type of agreement to conditionsProvides leadership for
complex negotiations to the negotiation teamsProvides leadership
and ensures regulatory compliance as it applies to projects and
activitiesExperience in utilizing Six Sigma and Lean toolsEnsures
organizational support and participation in Lean and other
Continuous Improvement activitiesEffectively lead global/remote
teamsExperience in matrixed procurement organization - including
global team environmentsQualifications -What we are looking

horizonProven ability to diffuse difficult negotiation (internal,
supplier, or both) situations and drive to solutionsProven ability
to lead groups (internal and external) through difficult situations
- drive consensus to maximize support and resultsGood understanding
of business management processes (P&L and Balance Sheet) with
ability to link supplier/supply chain opportunities to those
processesAbility to execute actions that are not clearly defined
and drive appropriate actions for known risks - comfortable with
ambiguity yet driven to bring clarityEducation or Formal Training:4
year bachelor degree in business or engineering field is
requiredAdvanced business degree is preferredPurchasing (CPM, CPI,
APICS, etc.) and project management certifications are
preferredExperience Required:10 plus years purchasing experience,
preferably related to Electronics -industries and marketsMinimum 5
years' Leading teams, developing and deploying strategies related
to PCBAs and electronic components5 years in a sourcing role -
preferably in a global setting5 years in leadership roleWhat's in
