Position Summary: Mosaic is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on role that involves close collaboration with teams across the organization. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. Responsibilities may include accounts payable, sales & use tax, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations. The role will also assist with financial reporting, special projects, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close Oversee accounts payable process Manage daily cash and bank reconciliation Prepare monthly sales & use tax returns Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements. Support the external audits and prepare audit-ready documentation. Work with Project Management to obtain and review time-tracking data Complete ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, as needed Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field Strong understanding of GAAP Advanced Excel skills High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Preferred Qualifications: Industry accounting experience Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar) Experience with biotech, pharma, or R&D-heavy organizations Powered by JazzHR ORRelW8vcA
