Job Description:
As a Lead Vehicle Mechanic at Clean Harbors, you will play a
pivotal role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles,
which are essential for delivering our environmental, energy, and
industrial services across North America. In this leadership role,
you will ensure that all mechanical services are executed in
accordance with the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and
environmental compliance. Your expertise will contribute directly
to our mission of safeguarding the environment by maintaining our
vehicles in top condition, minimizing downtime and promoting
sustainable practices. Oversee and perform mechanical repairs and
maintenance on a variety of company vehicles, including heavy-duty
trucks and specialized environmental equipment. Lead, train, and
mentor a team of mechanics, fostering a collaborative environment
focused on safety and quality. Schedule and conduct regular vehicle
inspections and preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with
all safety and environmental regulations. Diagnose and troubleshoot
complex mechanical issues using advanced tools and technology.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventories, and
maintenance schedules. Collaborate with other departments to
optimize maintenance logistics and reduce vehicle downtime.
Implement and uphold Clean Harbors’ safety and environmental
policies during all maintenance activities. Advanced knowledge of
vehicle mechanics and electrical systems. Strong leadership and
team management skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and
software for vehicle maintenance. Ability to handle multiple
projects and prioritize tasks. Excellent problem-solving and
analytical skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Automotive Mechanic from a
recognized institution. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving
record. ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is highly
desirable.
