to apply. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Plays, interacts
with and supervises play activities of children. Ensures the safety
of the children during play activities Checks children in and out
of the facility to the proper guardian Determines applicability of
grace period and appropriate charges for care. Collects payment
Cleans the classroom and disinfects toys and other frequently
handled objects Performs other duties as assigned Minimum
Qualifications: An equivalent combination of education, training,
and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and
abilities may be considered. Education: High School Diploma or GED
Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Experience: Experience in childcare and customer service preferred
Licenses and/or Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid
Certifications are required; or ability to obtain within 30 days of
hire (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center) Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities: Skill in performing CPR and First Aid Skill
in caring for children and responding to their needs Ability to
exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in
accordance with established Town policies and procedures Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with
customers, supervisor and coworkers Physical Demands: Physical
ability to lift and hold children Physical ability to push, pull,
lift up to 75 lbs. Occasional lifting, carrying, walking and
standing Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or
feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and
stop, kneel, crouch or crawl Frequent hand/eye coordination to
operate personal computer and office equipment Vision for reading,
recording and interpreting information Speech communication and
hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens Work
Environment: Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment
Equipment Used: This position may require the incumbent to
occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone,
tools, etc.) in the course of their employment. Must satisfactorily
complete a criminal background check prior to commencing
