As an Assistant you will be supervising children, helping to maintain a clean and safe environment, working with the lead teacher to implement the daily lesson, and updating each child's daily reports. Our goal for child is to contribute to a healthy social, emotional, and cognitive development, for them to easily acclimate to the next level of education.At Once Upon a Childcare, we love our staff and do our best to ensure they feel valued, respected, and heard. Responsibilities Help implement weekly lesson plan Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Collaborate with other educators Help maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standardsThe ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. You will have a GED or H.S. diploma and have completed the Early Childhood courses and training as designed by the state of Colorado. You will have the flexibility to work a shift between 6:30 am and 6:00 pm and have reliable transportation to the Child Care Center to ensure consistency for the infants.Job Type: Full-timePay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hourBenefits: Employee discount Paid time offSchedule: 8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate: Fort Collins, CO 80524: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)License/Certification: CPR Certification (Preferred) Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)Work Location: One location
