A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the elementary grade level within a contract that spans the current school year. This role focuses on serving a severe needs caseload, providing specialized instructional support tailored to students with significant learning challenges in an elementary school setting. Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with severe disabilities. Collaborating with general education staff, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support and progress monitoring. Utilizing specialized teaching methods and adaptive technologies to meet diverse learning needs. Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state education standards. Required qualifications and experience: Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education certification. Demonstrated experience working with severe needs students in an elementary school environment. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and instructional strategies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
