Our core values are rooted in honesty, partnership, passion & respect, each translating into how we serve clients, treat one another and build our team.Summary: Performs multi-craft functions, which may include installation of tents, setting up venues, repairs of all equipment, woodworking and light maintenance. The Technician is considered the face of FLEXX while onsite which requires providing the best customer service to all clients. Safely and properly installing FLEXX equipment according to the manufacturers' specifications, training video(s) and expectations from the direct supervisor. Provides day-to-day coordination and leadership to other employees performing similar work. To be successful as a Lead Technician you will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills and enforce safety. Essential skill sets required for Technician-Level 1: Must be able to lead the following: Leading is a process in which an individual influences the behavior and attitudes of other people. Leading by example helps other people see what lies ahead and act swiftly to counter any challenges along the way.o Ability to set a10x and 20x frame tent(s) per tent procedures provided (Non festival events, backyard events).o Knowledge of FLEXX inventory (Canvas, poles, chairs, tables, etc.).o Set basic stage per stage procedures provided (4 or more panels level surface). o Properly and safely operate a Jack Hammer/Sledge hammer.o Operate a stake puller.o Capable to troubleshoot and resolve problems while on-site.? Tent issues, Heater issues, Basic troubleshooting of all equipment.o Ability to safely and properly drive a 16' box truck.o Instillation of basic lighting per procedures provided. o Responsible for properly installing tent side-walls and uninstall with proper packaging per tent specifications.o Load and unload all applicable level one jobs. o Must test at 90% or above on Level 1 skills requirements after 30 days.o Excellent customer service required per procedures provided.o Handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to FLEXX customer service policies.o Communicate effectively with team members and management to create work schedules, train new employees, and resolve any interpersonal issues as needed.o Maintain a neat and professional appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering FLEXX dress code.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Computer Skills: Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office. Experience with Inventory systems a plus.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving many faucets of the business and resolve them with good solid business acumen. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Other Qualifications: Valid Colorado Driver's License, good driving record, forklift operator certification preferred. Cost Containment and OSHA knowledge. Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, forklift and other mechanized warehouse equipment.Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, and repetitively lift; he/she must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close perceived depth, operate a motor vehicle, and operate portable radios (i.e. walkie talkie), rider floor scrubber and scissor lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Specifications:Ability to lift a 50 lb. box off the ground (pallet) to chest high. Turn up to 180 degrees and put the box on another pallet up to chest high up to 10 feet away.Ability to Put up to 5 - 40 lb. boxes on two wheeled hand trucks and push trucks up to 60 feet. Over curbs and possibly up ramp that could be for areas as high as 4 Feet above the wheeled height. Ability to climb truck box up 3 steps. The first step is 29 inches off the ground and the next 2 are 12 inches apart. The only thing to hang onto is a metal bar that starts above your head on the side of the truck.Ability to enter cab of truck up 2 steps, the first being 19 inches above ground with next 1 being 14 Inches above. The ability to use manual pallet jacks on sometimes slightly imperfect surfaces up to 1,000 pounds up to 60 feet pushing or pulling.Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Conditions may include working in inclement weather, subzero weather as well as high degrees of heat, working around machines with moving parts and moving objects, radiant and electrical energy, working closely with others, working alone, working protracted or irregular hours. Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing only the essential functions include computer and related equipment, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, and automobile.Time Commitment: Must be available Monday through Friday, plus weekends and & evening dates. FLEXX Productions Office hours are 9 am- 5 pm in the fall and 8 am - 4 pm in the summer. Position is 40 hours per week plus overtime, non-exempt and hours may vary.Location: FLEXX Productions is located in Fort Collins.
