grid.Position General DescriptionLooking for an innovative and
highly-skilled, personable professionals who are passionate about
solution architecture technologies. The candidate will join to the
Digital Grid (DG) Business Unit (BU), as part of Regional Solution
Center of North America, located at Schneider Electric's offices in
Fort Collins, CO. Remote position will be considered as well.This
Business Unit is responsible for Customer Projects Delivery of
Asset Management (GIS) Solutions developed by Schneider Electric as
part of the EcoStruxure Grid for Utilities suite.This job role is
primarily based around the Schneider Electric 'ArcFM' suite of
software. The Digital GridPrincipal Architectwill report to the
Consultancy Team manager and will be part of the Asset Management
Consultancy Team, working in coordination with other Solution
Architect Experts and Senior Principal Architects.Principal
Architectrepresents one of the key roles in our Consultancy Team
which ensure that the Schneider Electric suite of software and
solutions are designed, developed, and deployed to meet the
end-user business requirements, efficiently and consistently
minimizing cost and risk. Also, the role will support our Sales and
Proposal team, training other Regional Solution Centers across the
globe and be a bridge between our project delivery team and ArcFM

- Support Project Delivery Team as a Subject Matter Architect and
Expert
- Customer and internal team relationship and collaboration
- Accountable for large-scale complex solution design and
integration
- Establishing and enforcing architecture principles, patterns,
and guidelines
- Support other SE RSC groups in onboarding with the ArcFM
Solution and implementation projects
- Work with Regional Solution Center teams across the globe
collaborating and strategizing on ArcFM XI Series project execution
best practices
- Leading design sessions with customer subject matter experts to
thoroughly evaluate and understand requirements.
- Project requirement compliance and gap analysis,
clarification
- Supporting and consulting with other Project Core Team members
in requirement clarification and software design.
- Helping developers, product owners, and managers to better
understand customer's requirements and use cases.
- Collaborate with Schneider Electric architects and engineers to
envision and design solutions that complement the configured
solution of the core product.
- Suggesting changes in software or system configuration to
product owners or managers
- On-site and off-site engagements during various phases of
project design execution
- Provide technical guidance to other members of the
department
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues,
customers, and sub-contractor
- Support effort estimating and SOW development for asset
management offers
- Support the team of SMEs supporting the technical sales
effortPosition RequirementsQualifications:Software Engineer,
Computer Science, Telco Engineer, with a good grounding in IT
Infrastructure, Geographic Information Systems and Systems
Architecture.Minimum Experience:10 years using Esri products in the
Utility Sector. Esri Utility Network and ArcGIS Pro is highly
desirable.Desirable domain areas:Technical experience in
implementation of utility engineering software solutions such as
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Outage Management Systems
(OMS), SCADA, Distribution Management Systems (DMS), Automated
Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and/or Engineering Analysis (EA).
Preference given to those with extensive GIS experience.Mandatory
Skills/Tools:
- Previous experience in software industry and/or software
project delivery, mapping the relationships between IT
platform/infrastructure components (i.e Technology End Users, IT
Systems Software & Hardware, and Info Communications Transmission
Networks)
- Deep knowledge and experience or Certification on Microsoft
Windows Server Platform.
- Hardware and Systems monitoring and management. Experience
performance metrics collection and analysis
- Experience working with complex Data Models implemented on SQL
Server Database.
- Virtualization environment management (vmWare, HyperV)
- Cybersecurity awareness (servers hardening, secure services,
certificate management, ADFS, Active directory and global
policies)
- Cloud computing (knowledge of typical IaaS concepts and
providers)
- Networking capabilities (routing, network segmentation,
switching)
- Experience in requirement specification and software design
(desirable to have experience in designing and developing
architectural solutions)
- Proven capability in documentation, automatic testing,
installation, and commissioning of software solutions.
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in written and spoken in English is mandatory.
- Passion for learning and continuous improvements.Desirable
Skills/Tools/Methodologies:
- Any level of experience with different Enterprise Service Bus
solutions would be desirable.
- Software development (powershell scripting)
- Database management: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or
similar.
- Reporting: SQL Server Reporting Services or similar.
- Platforms/Infrastructure: Windows Server, Linux, Docker,
Kubernetes.
- Tools: Maven, Git, Jenkins, Telerik, Selenium.
- Knowledge of UML and design patterns, SOAP web services, REST
web services.
- Proven capability in Software and System Development, System
Integration, Documentation, Testing, Installation, Commissioning
and Service Processes
- Experience developing end-user applications and interfaces with
an object-oriented programming language, such as C# for both the
desktop and web
- Experience with GIS solutions (ArcGIS, ArcFM, Smallword,
Geodatabases, etc.) is highly desirable
- Experience integrating enterprise applications e.g. SAP,
PeopleSoft, WMS, OMS, etc.
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF,
Zachman) is highly desirable
- Experience with commercial RDBMS such as Oracle and SQL Server
preferred
- Experience working with electric, gas, water or wastewater
utility companies
- Experience with architecting and designing infrastructure and
operational support processes
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all
levels of an organization
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally about
50% of the timeThe U.S compensationrange for this full-time
position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is
$111,000 - $160,000 for candidates located within the U.S.Our
salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar
respinsibility and level. Within the salary range, indivdual pay is
determined by several factors including performance, knowledge,
job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or
