Job Description:
Overview Larimer County is looking for a hardworking and
motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to become a key part of
our Fleet team! This is an excellent position for a mechanic who
enjoys working on a variety of fleets. In this role, you will be
assigned vehicle and equipment repairs, inspections, and
maintenance. We have openings for both light and heavy duty.Moving
to our brand new shop in October! The typical schedule for this
position is 7:30-4-:00 Monday - Friday Responsibilities
Specifically, this position:
- Maintain and repair light and heavy-duty equipment, ensuring
flawless operation.
- Determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions and
successfully implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to
ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete
maintenance tasks.
- Strictly adhere to established safety guidelines and

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic
systems.
- Ability to competently use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications All candidates will be screened for the following
required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet
all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated
from the process.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in
the performance of similar duties and responsibilities or
certification in auto or diesel technology from an accredited
program.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire
required.
- Possession of, and ability to maintain, a Class "B" CDL at the
discretion of the Fleet Director, depending upon necessity and
