Space's cutting-edge Power Station Technology Center as an Avionics
Technician II and be part of a revolutionary team that's powering
the future of space exploration and national defense! Located in
our state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot facility in Broomfield,
Colorado, you'll work at the forefront of space technology, helping
to produce next-generation Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
defense-hardened solar arrays that are transforming the aerospace
industry. In this dynamic role, you'll install, inspect, test,
adjust, and repair sophisticated avionics equipment and systems for
our aerospace vehicles, with a special focus on our groundbreaking

You'll Do Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair advanced
avionics equipment and SMT solar power systems Work with
cutting-edge Surface Mount Technology, including high-efficiency
multi-junction MWT "micro-cells" on engineered printed circuit
boards Operate precision equipment for solar array production,
including automated pick-and-place technology Perform equipment
setup and maintenance activities in our integrated test center,
which includes thermal vacuum/thermal air chambers and dynamics lab
Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use,
including non-flight parts Execute precision cleaning critical for
space-grade components Adhere to strict shop practices, including
PPE, shop safety, 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness Collaborate with a
team of 100 professionals to ensure high-quality workmanship and
adherence to ambitious production timelines Document and report
issues or discrepancies during inspections and tests to maintain
our exceptional quality standards Minimum Qualifications: Typically
2 years of related experience. Familiarity with general best shop
practices including PPE and shop safety requirements. Ability to
perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and
display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency. Able
to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for use,
including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple
geometry. Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning Ability
to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness. Ability to demonstrate correct
packaging and handling requirements for all hardware. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and
solar panel production processes Formal training, degree, or
certification in avionics, electronics, or a related technical
field IPC certification, particularly J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610
Experience with automated electronics manufacturing equipment,
including pick-and-place machines Proficiency in reading and
interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and PCB layouts
Experience with soldering techniques for SMT components and
avionics wiring Understanding of solar array technologies and power
systems Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to
detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Compensation :
Pay Range: $25.10 - $34.51 Your actual base compensation will be
determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on
job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal
