About the opportunity:SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Cultural Resources for our Rocky Mountain/Plains region, including Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and adjacent states. This position will be based out of our Colorado Front Range offices (Denver and Fort Collins), but remote locations will also be considered for highly qualified candidates. This successful applicant will be responsible for managing client, agency, and tribal relationships, as well as winning and delivering on projects. This is a regular, full-time, salaried position. Experience in renewable energy and/or transmission is highly preferred.What you will accomplish:Manage multidisciplinary teams on renewable energy and transmission projects.Manage staffing, fieldwork (potentially), research, report writing, and Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) review.Nurture and develop client relationships.Maintain good working relationships with state and federal agency contacts and tribes.Organize and create best practices and processes.Collaborate with SWCA's managers, directors, and principal investigators on technical and business development efforts throughout the company.Maintain SWCA's high standard of scientific ethics and quality assurance and is motivated to identify and resolve problems in creative ways.Assist in the continuing development of SWCA's Cultural Resource Program and expands SWCA's professional reputation in cultural resources consulting and research throughout the Rocky Mountain/Plains region and beyond.Experience and qualifications for success:REQUIREDMeets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards in archaeology.Experience with Rocky Mountains or Great Plains archaeology, or similar cultural area.Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in cultural resources management (CRM) on a variety of project types, sizes, regions, and agencies, with increasing levels of responsibility.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in CRM in senior role, whether in the field or in the office.Qualified for listing on permits as a principal investigator.Demonstrated expertise in federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the management of cultural resources (NEPA, Section 106 of the NHPA)PREFERREDDemonstrated experience in managing renewable energy, transmission, or similar projects, including developing budgets and scopes of work.Has completed all aspects of a project, from pre-field tasks to final report preparation for a variety of project types and sizes, regions, and agencies.Excellent technical writing skills with a record of completing technical reports in a timely fashion.Has worked on an interdisciplinary team of subject matter experts and planners.Experience and interest in business development, proposal writing, and client management.Team-orientated attitude with strong leadership and mentoring skills.SWCA Environmental Consultants is a growing employee-owned firm, providing a full spectrum of environmental services.
