Job Description:
The Senior Territory Manager will manage existing customer
relationships and develop new business in the Feed Mill/Calf Ranch
sectors. Responsible for managing and implementing sales and
marketing plan within an assigned geographic region. Accountable
for sales, margin and expense to obtain annual budget. Responsible
for personal sales contacts for Huvepharma s distributors and
distributor representatives in the territory. Responsible for sales
contacts with key veterinarians, dairies, cattle operations and
animal health dealers in assigned territory. This position may also
call on Nutritionists. (Territory - Colorado)EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCEUndergraduate Degree (BS/BA) in Agriculture, Animal
Science, Beef Nutrition or related field.Knowledge and experience
of the operation of feed mills.Knowledge and experience of the
operation of calf ranches, feed yards and dairy farms.Animal Health
knowledge and experience preferred.A minimum of 5-7 years sales
experience in the cattle sector preferred.TECHNICAL SKILLS
REQUIREMENTSStrong computer skills including MS Office Suite.Must
be well organized and detail oriented.Must have excellent oral,
verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Must have
a valid driver s license.Must be able to work well in a team
environmentAble to make independent decisions within defined
guidelinesWilling to drive to customer locations across defined
territory. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESBuild and maintain productive
business relationships with customers in the feed mill and calf
ranch sectors that result in greater sales of product.Identify and
build relationships with key cattle industry influencers that will
allow for further penetration into the Feed Mill/Calf Ranch
sectors, including Veterinarians, Nutritionists, Producers and
Distributors.Utilize excellent presentation and selling skills to
identify and demonstrate the need for our product offering with key
Feed Mills and Calf Ranches.Able to manage a broad geographic area
and identify the call points to achieve sales targets and business
objectives.Build and maintain knowledge of industry trends and be
able to qualify the differences between our product and the
competitors products.Build trust with customers through developing
reliability, credibility and follow-up.Ensure overall customer
satisfaction and deliver necessary sales results.Able to work with
fellow Account Managers and Technical Service employees effectively
as a team.Able to represent the Cattle Team at trade shows.Provide
territory and market activities in regards to competition,
products, pricing, programs, and competitors to the marketing staff
at Huvepharma.Develop annual sales plan for assigned Huvepharma
sales territory.Report to and support direction given by Sales
ManagementPrepare weekly sales and expense reports on a timely
basis and submit to reporting manager.Other duties as assigned.
