Alden's hydraulic group is looking for a Senior Water Resources
Engineer with 10 to 20 years of experience in civil engineering
hydraulics and its application in water resources including
riverine mechanics, erosion control/bank stabilization,
sedimentation, and bridge pier scour. The candidate must be a team
player with strong leadership qualities but be comfortable working
independently. This position will be based out of Alden's Littleton
Colorado or Ft Collins Colorado offices and includes the
possibility of remote work.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to work on unique,
one-of-a-kind projects with clients throughout a range of
geographies and industries.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Business development in the Water Resources area
Meeting/speaking with prospective clients to learn their needs
Management and execution of water resource engineering projects
from start to finish
Develop technical approaches and costing, analysis of field and
modeling data, interpretation of modeling results, and hydraulic
design
Technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, presentations,
conference papers, etc.)
Attend industry conferences and trade shows.
Customer interaction responsibilities, making written and oral
communication skills important.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Educational background: Master's or Ph.D. in Hydraulic or Civil
Engineering
10 to 20 years of experience in civil hydraulic engineering
Registered as a Professional Engineer or able to obtain
registration within 6 months.
Project management experience
Marketing/business development capabilities (e.g., give talks,
write papers)
Supervisory and mentoring experience
Experience with commonly used software for water resource
modeling.
