We have a tremendous opportunity to serve in a leadership role in the most innovative community behavioral health system and in the most connected and collaborative region in the state. - We are seeking a team member to serve as a Director of Quality. This Director will champion our continuous quality improvement work across the agency and will directly oversee our Quality Improvement department. This Director will also lead SummitStone's transition to a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC). - CCBHC is a SAMHSA grant-funded program aimed at transforming community behavioral health systems and providing comprehensive, coordinated behavioral health care. This Director will lead a cross-departmental CCBHC Team assigned to plan for, develop and implement a CCBHC program meeting CCBHC Certification Criteria within one year of the award. The Program Director ensures all grant goals, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements are met.
Some of the job tasks will include: -

  • Developing, maintaining, and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the Quality Improvement Department and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct, to be reviewed and adopted by SummitStone Leadership Team. - -
  • Directly leading the Quality Improvement Department and activities, which includes conducting clinical care quality reviews, chart audits, clinical, licensing, and contractual audits, and overseeing our critical incident investigation and review process.
  • Monitoring the performance of the Quality Improvement Department on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
  • Overseeing the auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives of the QI Department.
  • Developing reporting for all auditing entities that may request access or information based on existing contracts, regulations and oversight.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities for each phase of the CCBHC project ensuring that goals, objectives and all elements of the CCBHC grant are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters including coordinating internal task groups, delegating as well as transacting tasks, documenting and codifying procedures, and tracking progress.
  • Ensuring that quality planning across the agency encompasses our core principles or family-centered client care, cultural competency, resiliency/recovery, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health equity.
  • Under the direction of the Continuous Quality of Care (CQI) Committee (which this Director will be an active member of), supporting activities that will reduce behavioral health disparities.
  • Coordinating with grant evaluators on data collection, monitoring data, analysis, and presentation of CCBHC outcomes.
  • Leading clinical research team and develop meaningful community partnerships that allow us to expand upon research opportunities.
  • Overseeing budget, ensure financial accountability in coordination with CFO.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with program directors and other leaders to ensure shared leadership and decision-making regarding -organizational operations.

        Experiences and Background We Look For
        Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 5+ years experience in a healthcare organization or related field; Experience supervising a team of professionals in a quality arena. -
        Preferred: Bilingual/Bicultural; Master's degree in relevant field; 5+ years experience in a behavioral healthcare organization; - Prior experience overseeing quality improvement teams/departments; Experience wiith federal grand management with SAMHSA. -
        Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered. -
        Wage Ranges
        The typical hiring range for this position is $110,760 to $138,450 annually. - Candidate experience in related work may result in additional compensation. -
