WHO YOU ARE You are a dynamic and results-driven Development
Director well versed in leading fundraising initiatives, planning
and managing fundraising events for similar sized nonprofit
organizations. You are skilled at building and executing
comprehensive development strategies and serving as an ambassador
for influential organizations. You have a proven success record
working with both authority and influence to manage and steward a
portfolio of corporate and individual relationships to drive growth
and achieve defined revenue goals.WHAT YOU'LL DOThe National Kidney
Foundation (NKF) is seeking a dynamic Development Director to lead
fundraising efforts and manage key events in the Denver Metro area
(Colorado) and New Mexico market. This role is responsible for
overseeing National Kidney Foundation's signature events, including
the Great Chefs of the West Gala, Golf Classic, and Kidney Walks,
while driving revenue through corporate and individual donations,
sponsorships, and grants.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute fundraising strategies to meet financial
goals, including securing donations, event sponsors, and grants.
- Manage and execute signature fundraising events, ensuring
successful logistics, sponsorships, and volunteer
engagement.
- Oversee budget planning, fundraising financials, and strategic
planning for fundraising events.
- Build and steward relationships with donors, partners, and
sponsors.
- Supervise and develop a team, including a Development Manager
and volunteers, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and committees to support
events and fundraising initiatives.
- Identify and implement new fundraising opportunities to expand
revenue streams.WHAT YOU'LL POSSESSThe Director will be responsible
for managing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for a
portfolio of both existing and new corporate supporters, individual
donors, industry partners and community partners. This individual
will be responsible for growing engagement and revenue across each
fundraising channel, while leading the development and program
teams to their budgetary goal. The ideal candidate must have proven
success in fundraising, event management and/or sales and
relationship management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, event
management, and volunteer management, preferably in a nonprofit
health setting.
- Proven success in executing large-scale events and securing
sponsorships and donations.
- Strong people management and leadership skills, with the
ability to engage and motivate a team of volunteers and staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and
relationship-building skills.
