Overview The role of Agile Program Manager within the software development team is a constant presence with a focus on what drives both the development and business teams toward success, and what challenges them in meeting their objectives. You will use this information to collaborate with teammates to ensure a healthy program that delivers quality software for all associates across the program(s) you manage. As well as a focus on the business side leading the organizational readiness work-streams to ensure seamless transitions after releases. Role Priorities Deeply passionate about collaborating with others to help optimize a team's performance and build strong leaders. You are a leader, and sometimes a coach in the Scrum process, and believe that collaborative communication truly gets the most out of a cross-functional team. Work with other program members to develop release management strategies (e.g., planning, testing, dependency organizational readiness that address the risks and issues resulting from the complexities of scaling agile Works with Product Owners/Product Management to ensure that the product development road-map aligns with both business priorities as well as team capacity Debriefs and works with Scrum Masters and members of Program Leadership to ensure that the Program is continuously learning and improving though action items surfaced by teams throughout sprint or in retrospective Promotes a culture where Scrum teams are empowered to drive development and innovate guided by stakeholders' expectation Builds and supports a culture of trust and transparency guided by meaningful metrics Fosters a culture where risks, dependencies and issues are managed at the lowest responsible level Ensures that product health is well defined and shared in a transparent way with all critical stakeholders Surfaces program levels issues, dependencies and risks and mitigates with a sense of transparency and urgency Proactively manages stakeholders' expectations and is visible to stakeholders across the different functions Assists in ensuring that development effort is billed appropriately to maximize spend that can be capitalized Manages program level release plan and ensure that it's updated throughout the release cycle as more data becomes available Works with the scrum masters to ensure that completion of sprint work is transparent and easily tracked through JIRA (or other tools used to manage status) Ensures that all program level reporting is available to and actively used by teams (e.g., feature report, burndown, risk log) Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project or Program Manager focused on software development (strong preference for Agile-Scrum SDLC experience). Track record of delivering strong results in large scale/complex software development projects. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills. Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals, including project metrics and dashboards. Hands-on management of projects and their outcomes, rather than passively collecting and reporting metrics. Strong ability to identify potential issues and dependencies early. Quickly facilitates mitigation plans, alternative approaches and communication of risks. Demonstrated ability to work with teams within multiple geographic locations to meet demanding deliverables. Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence is a plus. BS/BA degree or relevant experience. EOE, including disability/vets
