Job Description:
Provides nursing leadership for a specific shift and
unit/area.Looking for a charge RN to lead our cardiology triage
department. Primary responsibilities will be working side by side
with our triage team, leading their daily activities and managing
the workflows, processes and daily flow of the department. We are
looking for a nurse who wants to grow into a leadership position
but also have direct patient interaction daily. The cardiology
triage team manages all incoming triage for all of the Heart &
Vascular physicians and work directly with the physicians to manage
their patient's care.Work Schedule: Full Time
DaysResponsibilities:Supervises and mentors staff during assigned
shift. Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff
availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.Provides
direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with
problem-solving. May take patient assignments to meet staffing
needs.Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care, including formal
evaluation, and identifies any issues that affect desired patient
outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related
services, and manages through established channels.Performs
role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders,
performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe,
quality patient care.Within scope of job, requires critical
thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with
minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced
environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:
- Basic Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Other information:Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an
accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3
years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.Required
Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse
(RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant
certification as determined at position level.Minimum Experience: 1
year of nursing experience.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before
start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of
hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either
the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for
the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional
Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be
through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)The pay
range for this position is: $36.47 - $56.52 / hour. Pay is
dependent on applicant's relevant experience. An annual bonus may
be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and
