To reward you for giving us a chance, we'll include a $1,000 bonus on your 1st paycheck, when you work your 1st assignment (of 8 weeks or more) with us.*POSITION REQUIRES ICU EXPERIENCE AND WILL WORK BOTH ICU AND MEDSURG UNITS*Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation and treatment with a primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery.Essential Functions Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.Provides education to patients according to their needs.Transcribes, utilizes and implements protocols and physician orders.Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.Management of critical care medications.Observation & implementation of time sensitive medical treatments and medications.Comprehensive assessment of critical changes with appropriate insight of treatments.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Experience Previous hospital experience preferred.Credentials Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH. Must have current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtain within six months of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH. Must complete telemetry course or demonstrate competency. Must complete procedural sedation module or demonstrate competency.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Annual completion of yearly required CEUs.Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone.Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing.Demonstrate effective listening skills.Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively.Possess exceptional problem solving skills.Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision.Ability to learn new computer software programs.Ability to recognize and protect confidential information.Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.Quality Clinicians Job ID #m237586.
