Description:Veterinary Technician Assistants/Receptionists are the face of our veterinary hospital. With exponential growth, we are looking for an amazing technician assistant/receptionist to grow with us.We are currently in search of compassionate, critical thinking, career-driven veterinary dental receptionist. Candidates should possess the skills necessary to provide quality care to pets, have knowledge in veterinary medicine and provide outstanding client service.As a Veterinary Dental Technician Assistant/Receptionist your duties should include but are not limited to:Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling.Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. referral documentation, previous medical history received, etc.Assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information and invoices, dispense prescription items per the veterinarian's instructions, and schedule all future appointments.Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.Manage the financial needs of the hospital by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing procedures.Excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner.Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, pet health needs, treatment recommendations and all other hospital services/procedures.Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and other teammates.Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.Prepares the treatment area for procedures, including preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and suppliesMaintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets and other teammates.Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.Communicate with the Veterinarian, and with clients and team members in personAssist the Veterinarian with medical record preparationAssist the Veterinarian with patient appointments, including well-developed animal restraint for physical examinations and venipunctureManage, clean, and prepare the office for patient careUndergo hands-on training with ongoing clinical supportHandle the check-in and check-out of clientsFill medications whether in-house or calling prescriptions into outside pharmaciesAssist other team members as neededKeep up-to-date inventory and accurate inventory filesResponsibilities:Utilizing standard office/business equipment.Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.Flexible schedule including some holiday shifts.Experience with veterinary software is preferred.Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.Possession of organizational skills.Critical thinking - Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.Assist the veterinarians with patient appointments, surgeries, and any other tasks that are neededBenefits:Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (Simple IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Short Term DisabilityPaid Time Off (Vacation & Public Holidays) - for eligible positions onlyDiscounted Veterinary Dentistry and General Practice CareOpportunity to make an impact in your community while tackling a challenging, variety of tasks and the ability to help animals among a great team of people!Work RemotelyNoJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: From $16.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offParental leaveRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:We are following all government mandates and CDC guidelines in regard to COVID.Work Location: One locationRequirements:Qualifications:High school or equivalent (Required)Customer Service: At least 2 years (Required)Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Required)
