Pay Information $1,867 per week About The Position Job Title: Travel RN - Med Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Proficient in Meditech Proficient in trach and ostomy care Description: Seeking an RN for a travel position in the Med Surg unit. The position requires immediate availability. The unit consists of 18 beds and typically has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1. Staffing includes charge nurses and patient care technicians on each shift. The patient population includes those recovering from minimally invasive surgeries, colectomies, ostomy creations and takedowns, as well as medical patients with chronic conditions such as CHF and COPD. The role involves daily assessments, medication administration, and coordinating patient care with support staff. Nurses are expected to provide compassionate care and education to patients and their families. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and embrace teamwork for positive patient outcomes. Daily responsibilities include performing purposeful rounding, assessing patient needs, and documenting care in the electronic medical record.
