Behavioral Health Therapist -Garcia House Salary Range: Master's Level Unlicensed = $27.89 - $33.47 per hour Master's Level Licensed = $31.75 - 38.09 per hour All levels based on relevant years of experience Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at our Garcia House Status: Full time, 40 hours per week Hours: Wednesday through Saturday 10:00AM – 8:00PM Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights ($7 per hour), weekends and holidays. Role Overview: Responsible for providing assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy as well as case management. Develop and monitor service plans, treatment progress, document interactions and maintain clinical records and other reporting data for clients with mild to severe mental illness, disorders, and/or disabilities and substance use disorders. Coordinate with internal as well as external supportive services to deliver services to clients. Collaborate with medical providers, nurses, behavioral health technicians, case managers, peer specialists and psychiatrists regarding treatment. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner. Residential (Garcia House) - a specialty co-occurring residential Circle Program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Essential Duties: Provide/facilitate a wide variety of individual, family and group therapeutic and rehabilitative activities to achieve goals of service/recovery/treatment plans and to prevent deterioration, and hospitalization. Conduct crisis intervention via telephone and/or face-to-face. Intervene and de-escalate crisis situations with clients. Assess the risk of harm to self or others, create comprehensive safety plans, and arrange needed resources. Observe clients in a variety of situations; assess mental status of client and formulate treatment plans and goals. Perform case management services as needed to assist clients to meet their goals as stated in their service/treatment plans. Refer clients to supportive services such as vocational, medical, social security, housing authority, etc. Advocate for clients in many different forums including the federal, state and local court systems, with family, school system etc. Assist clients in improving their well-being and quality of life by training in behavioral skills; educating clients to make informed choices; developing clients coping skills, helping clients to problem solve, and negotiating tasks of daily living. Document treatment plans, progress reports, group notes, individual notes, case management notes, letters, faxes and phone calls. Follow the proper protocol for documentation as set forth by Quality Assurance and to third party payor’s requirements that have contracts with SummitStone. Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out treatment//recovery/service plans. Required: Master's degree in the Human Services field from an accredited College or University required Licenses and Certifications: Colorado license candidacy required with DORA Current Colorado professional license in appropriate discipline (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC) preferred Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record CPR and First Aid certifications may be required for certain locations Highly Desired: Experience in coordinating mental health intervention plans and services with other agencies preferred Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred There are opportunities within our team-based model to attend company-sponsored training programs, complete certifications (such as CAT or CAS) and to learn from seasoned colleagues daily.
