Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel RN Pre-Op to join our nonprofit health care system, which is renowned for delivering exceptional patient-centered care across Colorado. This role is pivotal in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring all preoperative procedures are followed meticulously. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work across various UCHealth locations, providing critical support to our surgical teams and enhancing patient outcomes. Assess patients' preoperative status and review medical histories. Ensure all necessary preoperative tests and documentation are complete. Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-op care. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications. Manage and administer pre-op medications according to physician orders. Document all patient interactions and care steps in the patient medical record. Travel to different UCHealth locations as required. Strong clinical skills in a surgical setting Excellent patient assessment abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Capability to manage stress and react effectively in emergencies Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
