Our PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) RNs play a pivotal role in the postoperative phase, providing careful monitoring and critical care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery, involving close collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and various healthcare professionals. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness to swiftly identify any postoperative complications. Assist in the recovery of patients from anesthesia, including pain management and support of respiratory functions. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, ensuring they understand discharge instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and document all observations efficiently. Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to plan and evaluate patient care interventions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in monitoring and emergency response Expertise in administering post-anesthesia care Ability to manage stress and make critical decisions in fast-paced environments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) preferred
