UCHealth, a leader in patient-centered healthcare in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Acute Care Cardiovascular Thoracic Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This challenging position is ideal for an RN committed to advancing their expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic care, working in a fast-paced unit where the focus is on delivering exceptional care to patients recovering from cardiovascular, thoracic surgeries and complex cardiac conditions. Our nurses are supported by state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Thoracic PCU. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on physician orders and patient responses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment, post-hospital care, and lifestyle changes. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and prepare reports on data when required. Administer medications accurately and safely, and observe patients for adverse reactions. Strong clinical skills with a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic patient care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment High level of proficiency in using healthcare technology and electronic health records Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain. BLS/CPR certification is mandatory; ACLS preferred.
