Swedish Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN Stepdown ICU to join our progressive team. This position requires specialized knowledge in intermediate care between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the medical-surgical floor, striving to achieve the balance of patient complexity and nurses' abilities. This role demands a compassionate professional capable of managing the critical care needs of patients while adhering to evidence-based guidelines. Assess, plan, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams. Monitor patient health and progress post-ICU while preparing them for a return to a less intensive care unit or home. Administer medications and treatments meticulously and observe reactions. Record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical information while maintaining thorough documentation. Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care. Supervise and guide lesser-experienced nursing staff and participate in professional development programs. Proficient in using medical software for patient management. Strong understanding of patient care protocols and pathways in stepdown and intensive care settings. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
