Job Description:
UCHealth, a leading nonprofit health care system based in
Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to
lead our Transition Specialties unit. This pivotal role focuses on
managing patient care during critical transition periods, such as
from surgery to recovery or from intensive care to general wards.
The Charge Nurse will oversee a team of nursing staff, ensuring the
highest standards of care, optimizing patient outcomes, and
fostering a supportive environment for patients and staff alike.
Coordinate and manage nursing care for patients in transition
phases Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure quality care
and compliance with hospital policies Develop and implement patient
care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of nursing
staff Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation regulations
Facilitate communication between patients, family members, and
multidisciplinary medical teams Strong leadership and
organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, capable of managing diverse teams In-depth knowledge of
healthcare regulations and hospital policies Ability to handle
high-stress situations and make decisions under pressure Proficient
in using medical software and patient management systems Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Valid RN license in the state of Colorado Certification in Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Pediatric Advanced
Life Support (PALS) preferred
