    POSITION

    The Lead Rental Associate is responsible for assisting the Rentals Services Manager and Group Fulfillment Center Rental Supervisor in the daily operations of the Group Fulfillment Center Rental location. They will assist by maintaining shop integrity and making sure operations are efficient and consistent. The Lead Associate will assist in supervising up to ten (10) employees at any given time, and delegate positions and special tasks during group fittings. In addition, they will help in the other rental locations when not needed in the Group Fulfillment Rental Center. They will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    • Maintain a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude when dealing with guests.
    • Select and setup rental equipment for guests, including:
      • Fit correct size boots.
      • Select appropriate size ski/snowboard and length.
      • Adjust bindings.
      • Ensure forms are correct.
      • Instruct guests on use of equipment.
      • Understand and utilize computerized rental system.
      • Perform continual maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment including:
        • Clean and repair boots.
        • Inspect bindings.
        • Repair pole baskets and grips.
        • Perform mandatory, periodic ASTM inspection and testing of rental equipment.
        • Comply with required risk management and indemnification procedures as well as other rental shop practices and procedures including:
          • Binding certifications.
          • Binding adjustments.
          • Forms, documentation, and records.
          • Signatures.
          • ASTM binding testing.
          • Post-accident reporting.
          • Consistently following essential safety protocols
          • Know all products, services and prices offered in the rental shop as well as being familiar with those of the resort.
          • Foster an attitude of teamwork and cooperation within the rental shop and the resort.
          • Assist in the facilitation of rental fittings for adult and child groups including outreach programs, faith-based groups, corporate, and social groups.
          • Perform upkeep and maintenance in the rental shop and on tools and machinery as needed.
          • Maintain neat, clean, and well-organized shop.
          • Perform other duties as assigned by all rental shop Managers, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors.
            • Maintain a swift and efficient rental process to ensure that the guest spends more time on the mountain than in the rental shop.
            • Communicate positive suggestions to management that would have a direct effect on the rental process/guest experience.
            • Maintain a consistent rental process by ensuring each step is moving at a reasonable pace.

              EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

              Education:
              • High School diploma or GED
                Experience:
                • Previous customer service and ski/snowboard rental experience preferred

                  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

                  This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

                  Office Environment:
                  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
                  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
                  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
                  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
                  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
                  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, assistant managers, managers, and other employees.

                    WAGE:

                    The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

                    Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $21.50
