The PositionPoudre School District seeks a seasoned forward thinking HR leader with the ability to think strategically, enhance operational efficiencies, communicate effectively and work collaboratively to attract, develop and retain talented individuals throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be a data informed leader who will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the comprehensive services and systems for the Human Resources Department. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will be expected to continuously demonstrate interpersonal skills, integrity, confidentiality, and judgment to create trust, deliver results, and influence a positive inclusive culture.
The CHRO will be responsible for a staff of 32-34 and will:

  • Manage compensation, benefits administration, employee/labor relations, collective bargaining, recruitment/hiring, retention, evaluation, performance management and dismissal of staff.
  • Ensure employment law compliance; write, revise and implement policy and procedures.
  • Oversee risk management; records; on-boarding, mentoring and induction programs; Employee Assistance Services (EAS) program, and comprehensive employee wellness programs.
  • Serve on the Superintendent's Cabinet, district committees, boards and councils.

    • Management: Evaluates and sets priorities; sets clear goals; demonstrates flexibility to adjust priorities and change direction as needed. --Education and Related Work Experience:
      • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
      • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field
      • Over five years of experience in Human Resources Management with a preference for public sector experience
      • Experience in PreK-12 public education environment strongly preferred --Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
        • SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) certification preferred
        • Criminal background check required for hire --Compensation, BenefitsThe starting salary is $128,325 to $177,089. Benefits include family health insurance, family dental insurance, life insurance, PERA retirement, paid time off, short and long-term disability, as well as other optional benefit elections. Monthly mileage stipend and paid employee portion of PERA included.
