***While the full salary range for this position is $74,877.40 -
$119,610.14, the anticipated hiring range is $74,877.40 -
$97,243.90.

ACDHS -uses an integrated Two-Generation (2Gen) approach to address
all of the basic human services needs of the entire family unit.
The 2Gen approach begins with a mindset focused on family-centered
program design and continues with the alignment of services and
resources within the department as well as across multiple
organizations, resulting in coordinated services to children and
adults together (family) in order to create long-term stability and
sustainability.
The 2Gen approach builds well-being for families by focusing
equally and intentionally on high-quality services in five areas of
focus: early childhood education, adult education and employment
pathways, economic security, health and well-being and social
capital. This approach will help us achieve our core mission of
breaking the generational cycle of poverty, preventing neglect and
abuse, and building strong communities.
The HR Business Partner II partners with the Department of Human
Services leadership and management team to provide HR consultation,
support, and execution of HR strategies to ensure the successful
acquisition, development and retention of high-quality talent.

- Serve as a liaison and internal consultant to assigned
divisions within Human Services to develop strategic business
partnerships by coaching, counseling, providing facilitated
conversations and conducting internal investigations.
- Leads special projects, as assigned by the Human Resources
Manager or Human Services Director, that fall under the complete HR
umbrella and may be related to compensation, retention, employee
relations, etc. -
- Partners with all levels concerning employee relations issues,
reviews documentation and provides recommendations.
- Leads strategic efforts to improve culture, processes,
programs, workflows and create department efficiencies. - -
- Performs workforce research and analysis to ensure that HR
priorities are fully aligned with overall trends, challenges, and
shifts in workforce demographics. -Make recommendations for short-
term and long- term processes, systems and solutions. -
- Provides technical support and guidance to assigned departments
for all related policy/practice questions and requirements. -
- Provides recommendations and feedback concerning development
and interpretation of Human Resources/ Human Services policies and
related procedures; updates and formulates policies/procedures as
necessary.
- Assists with strategic initiatives of the HR Dept including
performance management, process improvements, and streamlining
efforts.
- Ensures HR processes and practices are compliant with
applicable local, state and federal laws.
- Maintains network of resources in the external market to obtain
information, comparable policies and maintain competitiveness.

Education and Experience: -
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 3 years of progressive HRPB experience, including employee
relations
- Any equivalent combination of education and work experience
that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an
acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check. -
Post-Employment Requirements: -
- Will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of
Investigation (CBI) background check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: -
- Work is generally confined to a standard office
environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: -The following are some of the physical demands
commonly associated with this position.
- Spend 80% of the time sitting and 20% of the time either
standing or walking.
- Occasionally lifts, carries, pulls or pushes up to 20 lbs.
- Occasionally use a cart, dolly, or other equipment to carry in
excess of 20 lbs.
- Occasionally climbs, stoops, kneels, balances, reaches, crawls
and crouches while performing office or work duties.
- Verbal and auditory capacity enabling constant interpersonal
communication through automated devices, such as telephones,
radios, and similar; and in public meetings and personal
interactions.
- Constant use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the
use of automated office machinery or equipment.
- Visual capacity enabling constant use of computers or other
work-related equipment.
