Teaches first, second and third year Family Medicine residents
in all patient care settings, caring for patients directly.
Provides administrative support to the program.
Supervises resident physicians in the Family Medicine Center.
Performs administrative duties, faculty development, and academic
preparation. Gives direct patient care for an assigned panel of
May perform colposcopy, LEEP, flexible sigmoidoscopy,
nasopharyngoscopy, exercise stress testing and vasectomies. Assists
in precepting Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
Provides direct resident supervision, delivers lectures at
resident conferences, performs reviews with resident physicians,
and supervises on-call work of residents.
Mentors assigned resident physicians; audits medical records;
participates in resident recruitment; assists in the supervision of
nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
