Job Title: Landscape Site Leader

Job Summary: This is a working supervisory position that is responsible to perform and oversee a team to maintain grounds including grass, parking lots, planting beds, and trees. This person will be responsible to coordinate workflow and perform supervisory duties such as timecards, evaluations, scheduling, and other HR duties. The position will also be responsible for communicating scheduling, status, and other information to the client.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventive maintenance activities on facility following written instructions. PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration
  • Analyzes findings during PM and recommends changes to PM content based upon findings
  • Documents PM activities within the CMMS
  • Completes assigned work orders and documents completion within the CMMS
  • Maintains grounds equipment and systems include lawn equipment, irrigations systems, and snow removal equipment
  • Responsible to work with and manage staff assigned. This includes timekeeping, evaluations, scheduling, and other management duties
  • Will direct workflow, order parts, organize projects, and is responsible for teamwork
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the Site Manager

Qualifications:

  • Education High School diploma (or equivalent) required, technical training and/or additional education preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in grounds, maintenance, construction, or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license, fork truck operator's license, lift training, Certified irrigation license preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex operating and maintenance instructions, and memos.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one -on-one and small group situations of customers, clients and other employees of the organization

  • Must be able to effectively communicate through email, generate Memos, and utilize Excel to manage data
  • Must be able to use the CMMS software effectively and operator micro controlled equipment such as fire alarm panels and chillers

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by a Maintenance technician including standing for up to 8 hours, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting loads up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work on ladders, lifts, up to heights of 40'. Must be able to manipulate tools, identify colors, and have excellent reading skills.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the Technician is regularly required to stand at eight hour intervals with occasional scheduled breaks, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The individual frequently is required to climb stairs and ladders. The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, at higher than chest level and be able to tolerate adverse rooftop working conditions due to climate and tolerate extreme temperature changes.

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM M-F and On-call for snow removal or other emergencies

Compensation Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience

Other Compensation: This position is not bonus eligible and it is not commission eligible
