Job Description:

We have an immediate opportunity for an Tier 2 Task Lead / Alternate Project Manager to join our talented team in support of a Federal client in Fort Collins, CO.  Responsibilities include overseeing and managing a geo-graphically dispersed, multi-disciplined technical team providing end user help desk support services. The successful candidate will have prior experience providing technical support and managing similar tasks, developing schedules for program or project activities, and providing recommendations or alternative solutions to manage program, project, and technical risks.


  • Responsible for overall success of all tasks being performed under the contract with full authority to act on any contract issues.
  • Manage projects and provide oversight and guidance with optimal and efficient resource management.
  • Determine and monitor personnel requirements, establish work priorities, organize work schedules (shift, surge, and on-call), assign duties, and instruct personnel on special requirements and high priority workloads.
  • Assist in overseeing and documenting the initiation, execution, and closing activities for a program/project.
  • Prepare and oversee work plans, schedules, planning materials.
  • Establish, document, and manage program baselines (e.g. budget, cost, schedule, requirements, architecture, and technical).
  • Ensure scope, cost, schedule milestones, and performance metrics are met or exceeded.
  • Assess, monitor, mitigate, and resolve program and project level risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain program artifacts throughout the lifecycle of the initiative.
  • Develop, disseminate, and present supporting program/project documentation (i.e., status reports, presentations, planning documents, etc.).
  • Ensure all contract deliverables are provided to the customer and approved per the requirements of the contract.
  • Meet with and routinely communicate with Government Leadership and the COR to discuss contract status.
  • Ensure constant and proactive communication with customers, team members, and subcontractors to actively mitigate any issues or concerns.
  • Provide input into security planning and Certification and Accreditation activities.
  • Provide program process and policy analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Promote and encourage a “one team” attitude at all levels internally and externally.

  • BS/MS degree
  • 5 years of relevant, applicable professional experience in managing end user IT support services
  • PMP or FAC PM II+ Certification
  • ITIL Certification
  • CompTIA A+, Security+ Certification
  • Demonstrated successful experience leading end user support teams to deliver help/service desk and asset management functions
  • Experience with managing customer expectations and delivering the highest level of quality customer service
  • Experience managing this type of services contract
  • BMC Remedy and ServiceNow experience
  • Experience executing the lifecycle of technology refresh activities
  • Working knowledge of Federal IT (including HW and SW) and cybersecurity requirements, policies, and standards
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
