Senior Program Manager Job Locations US-CO-Fort Collins Category Product Management Overview The Sr. Program Manager applies broad expertise, unique knowledge, and developed skills to lead the successful development and launch of new products, support innovation and technical research projects, improve Program Management processes, lead organizational strategic projects, and mentor others on the Program Management team. This individual, requiring little supervision, leads cross-functional teams, optimizing team member strengths to achieve break through results while empowering others to increase the value on your projects, to achieve objectives of multiple NSI, NPI, and Hero projects/programs. The Sr. Program Manager possesses thorough product and process knowledge and serves as the go-to resource for most routine program questions. The Sr. Program Manager solves problems, identifies and proposes solutions to key program risks, takes ownership and improves internal standards and processes, applying them throughout the organization, and communicates project/program statuses with all levels of the business.From our founder's garage in 1998 to the global technology leader we are today, Otter Products continues to drive growth through innovation. Responsibilities Leads multiple product commercialization programs including Minor Hero programs from Kickoff through Market Launch meeting schedule quality and cost goalsCurrent series, new series, business expansion, across all business unitsProvides leadership in non-product projects such as TechDev projects with medium to high complexity/risk, strategic organizational projects, efficiency improvement efforts, and other necessary efforts where cost, schedule, and/or scope management are neededDevelops and recommends improvements to Program Management processes. May be an owner of one or more processesWorks collaboratively to develop project scope, goals, and deliverables in relation to business goals, including setting expectations with the TeamDevelops project structure including:Core Team listSchedule formulated with the TeamIdentify Risks. Recommends alternatives. Develops mitigation plansShared team information source (OneNote)Long term project record (Agile)Progress reportsManages attention to resultsActively manage Cost/Schedule/Quality and project scope to original objectives; anticipate and manage scope changes with approval of project sponsor.Lead cross-functional team meetings. Some teams may be globally based.Identify and manage project critical path and dependenciesTimely completion of Product Life Cycle gates and milestonesAs the primary project escalation point, quickly analyze/remove roadblocks and resolve cross-functional issuesFormulate and present issue mitigation/solution plans to the team and ManagementCommunicate project progress via Stand-Up meetings, Weekly Exec Updates, Reports, etc.Draws valuable insight and meaning after the project has completeEmphasize project successes with the Team and LeadershipIdentify improvements to cycle time, cost, and quality for future programsDrives Program Management process improvements across all business unitsChampions one or more internal design or process standardsSeeks opportunities to improve program management skills as well as business and strategy management, and leadership skillsMentors less experienced Program ManagersSupport and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environmentOther duties as required (Internal note: this must remain an essential duty/responsibility) Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of six years' Program Management experience required.Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification strongly recommended.Otter Products is an equal employment opportunity employer (EEOC).
