Operations Manager - Radiation Therapy - Oncology

The Manager of Radiation Oncology, is a member of the regional
oncology service line leadership team and will have oversight of
the radiation oncology department through the development of a
strong relationship with the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology
and the Director of Operations for Oncology. Utilizes managerial
skill to support a progressive and growing radiation oncology
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
- Requires clinical experience, self-direction, attention to
detail and an ability to communicate effectively with staff,
patients, and caregivers.
- Responsible for the operations of the Radiation Oncology
services team members.
- Implementation system and radiology specific policies and
- Collaborates with oncology service line leadership, assure
programs are in place to meet operational, clinical, and patient
- Establishes positive working relationships within the team,
including physicians, and oncology programs and services.
- Maintains metrics for performance and assists with education
and orientation activities.
- Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing
assignments and staffing levels. Trains, coaches, and evaluates
assigned staff on performance expectations.
- Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required
service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues
- Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare
team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and
the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Assists with equipment quality control testing, maintenance,
and troubleshooting. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills,
decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and
take appropriate action.
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation
Therapy Technologist program.
- Preferred; Bachelors and/or Masters Degree
- Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Technologist
(RT) and certified in radiation therapy (T) by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if
required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Minimum Experience: 2 years of related experience.
- Preferred Experience: 5 years of oncology experience ;
Radiation Therapy experience . Previous leadership/management
position in oncology.
The pay range for this position is: $43.25 - $69.19 / hour.
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon
