Now get after it... your new career is calling.We are now seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team!This role will cultivate relationships with prospective clients, residents, vendors, and referral sources to sell use of The Lodge at MacKenzie Place ("Lodge") and services available. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of events at the Lodge-tours, client discovery, follow-up, and event planning.Essential Job Functions: Sales and Marketing - Provides tours of Lodge and grounds to sell events - Maintains client contact and cultivates business relationships. - Works with General Manager to create and implement a strategic marketing plan for the Lodge, - Maintains knowledge of similar local products and adjusts any marketing approaches, pricing, and product offerings within budget to maintain competitiveness in banquet and event industry. Event Planning and Production - Assists with negotiations and books event space, arrange food and beverage, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, make travel arrangements, order event signs, and ensure appropriate d--cor to meet the quality expectations of the client. - Conducts research, makes site visits, and find resources to assist in decisions about event possibilities. - Creates and revises room layouts for each event. - Serves as liaison with vendors on event-related matters. - Assists with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary. Will assist with all aspects of event administrationSuccessful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience coordinating special events. Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches. High School Diploma Required.
