The College of Business at Colorado State University is an--AACSB--accredited business school which enrolls more than 2,600 undergraduate students in ten business concentrations and approximately 1,500 graduate students across multiple graduate programs. While we are the largest undergraduate and graduate major on campus, we strive to create a small college environment. The College of Business Career Management Center (CMC) provides comprehensive career services to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, of Colorado State University---s College of Business. Services include career counseling, assessment and development, internship and job search support, hosting of employer events, assistance in the development of strategic personal marketing/branding tools for career opportunities, and instruction of the Introduction to Business (undergraduate level) and Career Management (graduate level) courses. Position Summary The Resource Engagement Coordinator is a new position in the Career Management Center created to assist with the coordination, management, and engagement of innovative career technology and software resources. This role was developed in response to an increasing demand for the use of technology and virtual platforms which connect students with industry professionals and provide exposure to real-world experiential learning opportunities. This position will serve a critical role in supporting the career readiness of College of Business students through the coordination and management of existing online resources and virtual programming (ie: multi-level mentoring programs), research and vetting of potential new innovative technologies (ie: VR technology and skill building software), and outreach/engagement of both students and industry professionals to facilitate mutually beneficial connections with the goal of increasing access and success for College of Business students. This role will be a contributing member of the Career Management Center staff, working alongside both the Employer Relations team and Career Counseling team to execute a vision of enhancing student/industry connections while leveraging technology and innovation. The position will collaborate with multiple partnering--COB--departments, centers, and academic units to foster a deeper and wider breadth of engagement among industry professionals interested in supporting, mentoring, and connecting with current students. Additionally, this role will collaborate with student-facing program coordinators at the undergraduate and graduate levels, student clubs/organizations leadership, and other student audiences with a goal of increasing student access to opportunities that bridge the gap between a student---s academic experience and their exposure to experiential learning opportunities and a network of industry professionals. The ability to facilitate an increase in these connections has significant potential of positively influencing the persistence rates and success outcomes of our College of Business students. This position will supervise one or more student staff (at either the undergraduate and/or graduate level) who will provide support to this full-time position and work toward the same programmatic goals. This position will work cross-functionally to strategically align existing and future initiatives through a lens of inclusive student/industry engagement. This position will report to the Director of the Career Management Center and will be a full-time, 12-month, limited-term position for up to 3 years with the possibility of renewal based on department need, budget, and performance. Required Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor---s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience managing programs/projects that involve successful outreach and engagement of various constituents
  • Demonstrated experience and technical proficiency with administrative side of engagement software platforms
  • Must have a valid driver---s license or the ability to obtain a driver---s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date. Preferred Job Qualifications
    • Professional commitment to CSU---s Principles of Community (Inclusion, Integrity, Respect, Service, Social Justice)
    • Experience developing and scaling mentoring and other engagement programs using technology
    • Experience in business development and/or cultivating individual and corporate engagement
    • Demonstrated confidence with outreach and engagement efforts that require initiative and strong interpersonal/relationship building skills
    • Experience with public speaking to promote programming and influence engagement
