Full Time, Days. 36 40 hours/weekPay Range is between
$17.52-$26.27/hr, depending on years of relevant and like
experience. +$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts.Boulder

SUMMARYAssists the anesthesiologist and RN in preparation for and
delivery of quality care to the surgical patient.JOB
QUALIFICATIONSEducation or Formal TrainingHigh school graduate or
equivalent preferredKnowledge of medical terminology
preferredSpecial Qualifications (Licensure, Registration,
etc.)Certificate of Anesthesia Tech preferredBLS within conditional
period of hireCell Saver certified (preferred)Knowledge, Skill and
AbilityDemonstrated physical and mental ability to support
departmental functionsExperienceMinimum of 1 year Anesthesia Aide
preferredMinimum of two years' experience in a hospital setting
preferredESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESExpedient turnovers
of operating rooms between surgery.Restocks cardiac drug box and
checks for outdates.Restocking of Anesthesia carts and
supplies.Anticipates and assists anesthesiologist in the
preparation of anesthesia equipment and supplies prior to each
surgical procedure (i.E. A-lines, swanz, spinals). Completes paper
work as needed.Cares for anesthesia equipment and supplies
following the procedures according to established protocol.Assists
the anesthesiologist with insertion of lines and regional
anesthesia.Makes available, assembles, and assists with operation
of specialized equipment such as fiber optic bronchoscoptic
equipment, rapid infusion devices, blood warmers, neuromuscular
devices, infusion pumps and syringes and TEE set-upOperate the auto
transfusion equipment including OrthoPAT and COBE Cell
Saver.Running GEM STAT & ACT machines.Demonstrates accountability
for the inventory control of anesthesia supplies.Gathers
information and researches capital budget items for
anesthesia.Meets with drug and anesthesia equipment reps as
necessary.Works directly with OR purchasing materials coordinator
for trial and evaluations of anesthesia equipment and
supplies.Performs basic maintenance and safety checks on anesthesia
equipment.Acts as a team player while carrying out duties
assigned.Will work in conjunction with the Anesthesia Department to
establish departmental protocols and assists in education.Attends
in-service programs to increase knowledge base.Projects a positive
image of the hospital within community.Education of personnel
performing anesthesia duties.Trouble shoots and working knowledge
of complex anesthesia equipment.Consults with and/or advises
appropriate personnel of situations requiring follow-up or
attention.Conforms to departmental and hospital policies and
procedures.WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESPhysical working
environment may include, but not be limited to, any of the
following hazards: high pressure steam, chemical, electrical,
mechanical, biowaste, explosive, radiation, laser, laser plume,
stress, back strain, body fluids, etc.Environmental conditions may
include, but not be limited to, variations in temperature, noise,
odors, multi-stimuli, etc.While performing the duties of this job,
the employee is required to constantly stand and walk. The employee
frequently is required to stoop, crouch and twist. The employee is
occasionally required to kneel, squat and sit.The employee must be
able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 10
pounds, frequently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds
and occasionally support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50
pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a
bed).Functional physical demands include manual dexterity, fine
motor skills and reaching. The following senses will be needed for
essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and
