Brief OverviewResponsible for providing support to adults with
intellectual or developmental disabilities by presenting
opportunities to access the community, creating a positive
environment, and assisting with daily living activities.What would
you do in this position?Transport people safely to and from the Day
Program and community activities in a company vehicleProvide
opportunities for community access by attending and participating
in community activities and eventsSupport daily living needs,
including eating, hygiene, toileting, and moreAssist in planning
community activities and eventsPerform one-on-one visits at
people's housesClean and sanitize a multitude of surfaces and
locationsComplete paperwork required by department accurately and
records in department databaseDistribute medication to people
safely and accuratelyCommunicate clearly with others in a
respectful and professional mannerAssist people with mobility and
transfer according to safety protocolsHost and participate in
virtual gatheringsTraining:NMCS provides extensive and ongoing
training for all of our Direct Support Professionals. Employees are
paid to attend these trainings at no cost to them. A list of
trainings provided includes, but is not limited to:CPR and First
AidQMAP certification (Medication Administration)Safety Care
certificationPerson centered thinkingDriving and vehicle
