Applicants Need Not Re-Apply, Still Under Consideration This
position will staff the mobile health clinic (mobile unit and
intermittent pop-up clinics and health fairs). This includes
assisting with patient and site scheduling, documentation and
security of medical records, conducting point-of-care screenings,
completing patient intake, providing patient education, collecting
outcomes data, maintaining inventory, and overseeing OSHA clinic
guidelines. The person will work with the Mobile Health Practice
Coordinator, students, faculty, staff, Project Director, and
partners to ensure positive and timely activities in the mobile
health initiative. The person may precept students at the mobile
health sites. The person should be able to provide a high level of
nursing judgment and clinical skills, meet a variety of
patient/client needs, and understand community needs and resources.
It is expected the person fully enacts the roles of a Registered
Nurse noted in the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and national
standards of practice and care. The Code for Nurses should be
followed for ethical practice. Persons must have good communication
and interpersonal skills. The position will require teamwork,
timely, accurate, and complete work, regular reports, and
HIPAA-compliant practice. They will attend team meetings and mobile
health initiative activities as directed by the project director
and dean. Minimum Qualifications License to practice as a
registered nurse in the state of North Carolina. Additional
Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates Unencumbered
RN license in the state of North Carolina Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing Unencumbered RN license in the state
of North Carolina Minimum of 2 years RN experience Experience with
communities of underserved, rural, minority, and disadvantaged
populations Must have own transportation Interview: persons may be
asked to conduct a medication formula work sample, a patient care
case study situation(s), a patient record documentation exercise,
and a brief database exercise. Alternate Option If no applicants

Equivalency Key Responsibilities Key Responsibility Patient intake,
screenings, and treatment. Essential Tasks This includes health
history, chart documentation, vital signs, family history, family
profile, social determinants of health, and other relevant
information. This includes point-of-care testing, immunizations,
wound management and dressing changes, and documentation of nursing
care. Assists the Nurse Practitioner as needed with examination,
tests, and treatments. Utilizes telehealth technology for specialty
referrals. Key Responsibility Health Education Essential Tasks This
may include but not be limited to an appropriate level, language,
and age for chronic disease prevention, maintenance, and promotion.
This includes educating clients on the use of telehealth
technology. Person should use evidence-based guidelines and
standards of nursing practice. Key Responsibility Inventory
Essential Tasks Maintain mobile health unit inventory, supplies,
cleanliness, organization, and internal working space. This may
include ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies and working
equipment, driving the mobile unit, etc. Includes organizing
supplies for transport to health fairs and intermittent clinic
sites. Key Responsibility Referrals Essential Tasks Referrals to
community and social agencies, and organizations as needed for
health maintenance, prevention, and improvement. This may include
services such as social work, employment commission, health
department, violence prevention authorities, schools, EMS, etc. Key
Responsibility Documentation Essential Tasks Documentation for
scheduling sites and patient/client appointments, including but not
limited to maintaining site and agency contacts, identifying site
logistics/location/parking availability, communication with the
Project Director, database to track sites and patient/client
numbers, counties, zip code locations, etc. Collaborates with
Mobile Health Practice Coordinator in determining mobile site
