Position Summary

The Admissions/Communications Representative admits patients to the hospital and helps maintains a positive public image.

Base salary starting at: $14.30 / hr

Essential Functions
--- Interview incoming patients or their representatives to secure admitting and billing information.
--- Prepares admission forms and obtains signatures as required.
--- Verifies insurance coverage for outpatients and outpatient surgeries.
--- Determines urgency of needed care for patients upon arrival.
--- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education
--- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience
--- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Credentials
--- N/A

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
--- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
--- Must have excellent customer service skills.
--- Must be able to work effectively while unsupervised.
--- Must have excellent time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to successfully multi-task.
--- Must have a strong proficiency with complex computer systems.
