The Commercial Superintendent will oversee Colorado and national construction of ground up and remodel projects valued at or above $20M in the North Colorado area. They are in charge of organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks. They complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff and sub-contractors.Client DetailsOur client is a top Colorado General Contractor that has been in business for longer than 70 years. With offices in Fort Collins, Denver, and Colorado Springs, they believe in building and maintaining relationships with their team, clients, and communities.DescriptionThe Commercial Superintendent will oversee the following:

• Acts as chief problem solver on all design issues where applicable
• Approves subcontractor agreements
• Assists the Project Manager with fiscal responsibilities and submittals.
• Is responsible for project schedule updates and management
• Demonstrates strong construction process and knowledge of building codes
• Is responsible for material delivery schedules and implementing change management
• Communicates with the Project Manager, other superintendents, subcontractors and field leaders to ensure project status and any changes are known to all involved parties
• Supports the development of team member competencies and skill sets
• Is responsible for job set-up, communication, safety compliance, record-keeping, QC and project closeout
• Participates in preconstruction meetings with subcontractors
• Chairs weekly subcontractor Foreman meetings
• Walks the jobsite at least once each day to ensure safety, quality, and job progress
• Is responsible for adherence to shop drawings and project documents
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to contract and field conditions
• Supports and enforces the requirements for jobsite safety
• Is responsible for full implementation of company safety, risk management, environmental and stormwater programs
• Provides constructability reviews for each set of progress drawings
• Reviews soils reports
• Conducts pre-award meetings with all major scopes of work
• Manages permits and inspectionsProfileA successful Commercial Superintendent should have the following:
  • 6 years of ground up Commercial project experience
  • Degree in Construction Management or related industry degree
  • Proficient in CMiC, Bluebeam, MS Office, Primavera 6
  • OSHA 30 Certification, First Aid Certification, Stormwater Management CertJob OfferCompetitive salary & bonus commensurate with experience - typically between $85,000-125,000
