You will join our Environment & Health Division

As our new Air Quality Consultant, you will be part of the Air Sciences Group under Ramboll's Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about assisting Ramboll's clients with their most challenging problems related to air quality, climate change, and sustainability. The Air Sciences Group consults with clients across various governments and various industries around the world on a range of topics, including but not limited to air quality monitoring, air quality modeling, emissions estimation, environmental and human health risk assessment, climate change, climate adaptation/resiliency, sustainability initiatives, permitting, and compliance.

Your Key Tasks And Responsibilities Will Include

  • Assisting with air quality monitoring and meteorological data validation and implementation of quality control procedures
  • Supporting air monitoring and meteorological equipment calibration and routine maintenance
  • Performing statistical and geospatial analyses of emissions, air quality, and meteorological data, including stationary, mobile, and remote sensing measurements
  • Supporting air quality modeling, such as HYSPLIT back trajectory modeling and AERMOD dispersion modeling
  • Preparing data for reports
  • Developing written documentation describing analytical methods and results
  • Communicating results to other team members both orally and in writing
  • Actively participating in a growing network of Ramboll sustainability practitioners that span our services across environment/health, energy, and water

    • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to air quality and/or meteorological such as atmospheric science, engineering, meteorology, chemistry, or physics
    • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and a desire to innovate
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and organization skills
    • Collaborative approach valuing diversity
    • Experience operating and maintaining air monitoring or meteorological monitoring equipment is an advantage
    • Experience with satellite data products is an advantage
    • Computer programming experience, such as scientific programming and database programming, is an advantage
    • Experience with geospatial software, such as ArcGIS, is an advantage
