Cheba Hut Franchising, Inc. (CHF) is a private, core-values driven company based in Fort Collins, CO. CHF is the franchise support company for Cheba Hut Toasted Subs, the OG marijuana-themed sub shop that fills bellies with dank food and communities with chill vibes. CHF's aim is to keep our company small as we continue to grow our franchise operations that currently support 53 locations in 15 states.CHF is looking for a Manager of Construction & Design to join our squad in Fort Collins. The Manager of Construction & Design will directly impact brand growth and the vision of restaurant design and construction, owning the construction process of Cheba Huts from LOI through certificate of occupancy. This role works collaboratively and cross-departmentally at Cheba Hut HQ, as well as with franchise owners and vendors (architects, engineers, construction companies, etc.), to deliver Cheba Huts that meet or exceed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.This is not a remote position, and the successful candidate will need to reliably commute to our HQ in Fort Collins on a daily basis.Specific duties and responsibilities for the Manager of Construction & Design include:

• Management and oversight of construction process, from pre-construction services (plans, bid, permit, construction schedule) through project closeout and TI allowance
• Ensure quality workmanship per Cheba Hut plans, as well as quality control and adherence to design and construction standards and requirements, proactively communicating issues and concerns with stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date list of approved vendors, and maintain relationships with those vendors (architects, contractors, etc.) to assist franchise owners in the development of their Cheba Hut
• Serve as the Cheba Hut liaison with all outside contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants, landlords, and governing authorities
• Manage the Cheba Hut Development Checklist, and maintain internal project tracking system
• Manage the design process, maintaining up-to-date list of approved design packages, and reviewing and approving all signage
• Manage equipment package and FF&E for all new storesRequired Experience, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years relevant design and construction experience; causal dining or QSR experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction documents and general legal documents including leases and contracts
  • Skilled in preparing construction budgets and tracking to actual costs
  • Familiar with restaurant equipment package, planning, and operations
  • Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with franchise owners, vendors and suppliers, and inspire and influence others while living the Cheba Core Values
  • Ability to work with architects to produce construction documents in an effective and timely manner
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other design software
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the confidence to present information to key stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate "heads-up" leadership, being proactive rather than reactive
  • Driven to take initiative in creating and improving systems and processes
  • Passionate about moving the Cheba Hut brand forwardWorking Conditions
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times
    • Ability to work, at minimum, an 8-hour shift in an office environment (standing or sitting)
    • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk working on a computer for up to 8 hours per day
    • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
    • Ability to communicate via voice (phone) and email
