Your role will be to work with our team of construction professionals and provide accurate and efficient cost estimates for projects in the Northern Colorado area.       • Pursuing a better way Responsibilities This position reports to: Regional Director Position Summary: The estimating department is responsible for producing project-specific construction estimates based on written and/or oral instructions from our clients. Your role in this process will be as follows:
        • The primary responsibility to develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals for our client-base customers.
        • Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
        • Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
        • Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
        • Draft scope letters, proposals and vendor solicitations.
        • Attend job walks; pre-bid meetings; collaborations and conferences with clients and design professionals.
        • Assist/support the Regional Director in the management of the Estimating Department; the education and development of junior personnel; on-going development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases; congenial relations with clients and vendors.
        • Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner. Additional Essential Functions:
          • Work alongside other estimators, project managers and project engineers on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects
          • Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
          • Additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
            • A high school diploma or GED is required, but additional education or experience in estimating, construction management or other equivalent studies is preferred.
            • At least 5 years' experience estimating industrial electrical projects.
            • Experience estimating a wide range of projects up to 7 million dollars in value.
            • Preferred to have experience with the following software's: Microsoft Project (scheduling software), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, AutoCAD, and one of the major computerized estimating programs (e.g., BHS, Accubid, etc)
            • Analytical, problem-solving mentality
            • Team player, self-motivated, gets along well with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
            • Excellent verbal and written communication
            • Able to track and organize project and information
            • Able to calculate figures and amounts
